The Cincinnati Animal Shelter has accepted 1,166 animals since the New Year

A Cincinnati animal shelter is reaching out to the public to ask about adopters and foster carers because the shelter is overwhelmed. Cincinnati Animal CARE says they have welcomed 1,166 animals since the New Year and 115 animals since March 1st. “This is unsustainable. This aging facility and we desperately need foster homes to prevent multiple dogs from being placed in a single kennel,” Cincinnati Animal CARE wrote on Facebook Monday here to view all of the dogs currently available for adoption to stand.

A Cincinnati animal shelter is reaching out to the public to inquire about adopters and foster carers due to overcapacity at their shelter.

Cincinnati Animal CARE says they have welcomed 1,166 animals since the New Year and 115 animals since March 1st.

“This is unsustainable in this aging facility and we desperately need foster homes to prevent multiple dogs from being placed in a single kennel,” Cincinnati Animal CARE wrote on Facebook Monday.

The shelter is in code red status due to the number of animals currently in the shelter.
